The aim of this course is the acquisition of specific knowledge concerning all levels of development (physical, cognitive, social-emotional) at each age level under study, but also the recognition of the diversity of life experiences that shape the psychology of infant, early and middle childhood.
Upon completion of the course, students are expected to have:

To have understood of methodological and research issues in developmental psychology

To recognize the diversity of life experiences that shape the psychology of each level of development with special reference to the influence of gender and culture

- Traditional and contemporary theories of development
- Research methodology in contemporary Developmental Psychology
- Prenatal development and childbirth
